Around 2,700 women are diagnosed with Cervical Cancer in England each year, but the NHS screening programme helps save around 5,000 lives each year! Although not one of the most common cancers, it is amongst the most preventable, thanks to screening and the HPV Vaccine.
The week of 19th – 23rd June was Cervical Cancer Screening Week! We shared a series of important messages across all of our social media platforms and we asked that you help us to share important messages around Cervical Cancer and in particular the importance of screening with your friends, family and wider networks!
We were out and about at events and also busy undertaking vital training on Cervical Cancer screening awareness! Our Answer Cancer, Project Coordinator delivered online Cervical Cancer screening awareness training to online retailer, N Brown. The organisation who have around 1800 employees are now also signed up to our Bee Seen Get Screened Pledge!
Please keep continuing to have these important conversations with your networks!
Get involved in activities and events in your local community and sign up as a Champion!
We hope that you will consider getting involved and playing an active role, not just by having conversations & sharing information, but also working in partnership with us to raise awareness. Please get in touch if you want to discuss this further!
