Local Authorities and Major Employers Sign Up to the Bee Seen, Get Screened Workplace Pledge!

Answer Cancer is delighted to announce the latest batch of employers to sign up to our workplace pledge, guaranteeing their staff time off work to attend cancer screening appointments.

Those having taken the pledge recently include some of the largest employers in the Region, across both the public, private and charity sector. They are:

• Manchester, Bury and Wigan Councils

• Network Rail – Shared Services Department

• Fujitsu

• Macc – Manchester’s local voluntary and community sector support organisation

• Morgan Sindall Construction

• Mediaworks 

• Care Needs Ltd

In total, these bring the number of organisations signed up to the workplace pledge to 29 covering over 35,700 staff! All of these people will now be more able to attend screening as a result, increasing the chances that any cancer will be detected at the earliest stages when it is easier to treat.
